NIRMAL, Dec. 22(Abdul Majid): Ideal English Medium High School, Nirmal, celebrated National Mathematics Day with enthusiasm and an academic spirit in memory of legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose outstanding contributions brought global recognition to India in the field of mathematics.

As part of the celebrations, the school organised a quiz competition in which students participated actively, showcasing their knowledge and intellectual abilities.

An exhibition was also conducted on the occasion, where students displayed creative and research-based mathematical projects. Through their exhibits, students highlighted various dimensions of mathematics and its practical applications, drawing appreciation from the visitors.

Addressing the gathering, the school Chairman and Principal, Mr. Shaik Shabbir Ahmed, underlined the importance of mathematics in daily life and paid rich tributes to Srinivasa Ramanujan’s dedication, perseverance, and extraordinary achievements. He encouraged students to view mathematics not merely as a subject but as an integral part of practical life.

The programme was successfully organised with the efforts of Sana Kaunain, N. Sandhya, committee head Ishrat, and committee members Mr. Junaid Khan, Wasima, and Shaima. At the conclusion of the event, the organisers were felicitated with floral and shawl honours in recognition of their contributions.
