KTR’s Press Meet at Telangana Bhavan – Serious Allegations Against the Government
Hyderabad, October 23 (Patriotic Views):
During a press meet held at Telangana Bhavan, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) leveled serious allegations against the Congress government, stating that corruption, mafia rule, and gun culture are at their peak in the state.
KTR claimed that under the Congress regime, bribery, illegal transactions, and commission sharing among ministers have become routine practices.
He described Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as “the weakest Chief Minister in the history of Telangana,” adding, “When a minister faces corruption charges and the Chief Minister remains silent, it is a matter of shame.”
He further alleged that the government is operating like a Dandupalya mafia, forcing bureaucrats to take wrongful decisions under pressure.
KTR accused the administration of forcing IAS and IPS officers to engage in illegal activities, which has led several officers to opt for voluntary retirement (VRS).
He added that ministers themselves are involved in corruption, manipulating tenders, collecting commissions, and promoting a culture of intimidation and settlements. “The Chief Minister’s residence has now turned into a ‘settlement center,’” KTR remarked.
Questioning the role of the police, KTR asked, “When businessmen are being threatened at gunpoint, why is the police department silent?”
He also criticized the BJP, stating that “Telangana is currently being run by a joint venture government of Congress and BJP.” Even the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he said, has maintained silence over the deteriorating state of affairs in Telangana.
In conclusion, KTR said, “In 100 days, the Congress government has delivered deception instead of development. There is no governance — only corruption and chaos.”
