Early Life and Education

Born in 1997, to Maulana Mohd Siddiq Ahmed, Maulana Riyaz Ahmed began his educational journey at Darul Uloom Hyderabad. With a deep passion for Islamic learning, he completed his higher studies at Jamia Anwar Al Huda, Kishan Bagh, in 2019, earning the distinguished title of Aalim.

In addition to his academic excellence, he memorized the Holy Qur’an, laying a strong spiritual foundation for his future endeavors.

Religious LeadershipReligious Leadership

Maulana Riyaz Ahmed’s journey as a preacher began at a young age. From 2012, he has been delivering Juma sermons at Masjid Anwar Madina, Mustafa Nagar. Since June 2016, he has been conducting Friday sermons at Masjid-e-Mahmudha, BK Puram Mailardevpalli, Shastripuram.

In addition to the Friday sermons, Maulana Riyaz Ahmed regularly delivered weekly addresses at Masjid-e-Ambiya Husamia, Chaman, Madanapet, and a monthly gathering (Bargah-e-Yousufain) at the Nampally Dargah.

At present, he conducts weekly Dars-e-Qur’an every Sunday at Masjid-e-Mahmudha, continuing his mission of spreading Islamic knowledge and spiritual awareness among the youth and general public.

He also frequently participates in the Majalis of Silsila-e-Husamia, held at Husamia Manzil, the residence of the late Maulana Hameeduddin Husami Aqil (RH), where he delivers speeches and spiritual discourses from time to time.

During his formative years, he also served faithfully as assistant and in-charge under the guidance of his father, contributing immensely to the institutional and religious activities.

Community Involvement

Maulana Riyaz Ahmed’s commitment extends beyond the pulpit. In 2015, he became a Life Member of the Indian Red Cross Society, reflecting his dedication to social welfare and humanitarian service.

On April 23, 2016, he was elected General Secretary of Bahadurpura Jamiat Ulama Constituency. His passion and sincerity led to his appointment as Media In-charge of Jamiat Ulama Telangana in 2024, where he continues to represent and raise issues of community importance.

Educational Leadership

Recognizing the crucial role of education in shaping future generations, Maulana Riyaz Ahmed took a major step forward on August 2, 2016, by being elected Director of Madrasa Islamia Riyaz Uloom and Riyaz Islamic School.

Under his visionary leadership, the institution was transformed into a comprehensive Deeni and Modern Educational Institute, where over 350 students, from Nursery to Intermediate, receive a balanced education combining Islamic and contemporary subjects.

Recognition and Caliphate

In 2020, the National Human Rights Commission and Social Justice Commission (Delhi) recognized his leadership and appointed him as President for Telangana State.

On November 12, 2020, Maulana Jafar Pasha — successor and son of Maulana Hamiduddin Hussami Aqil (RH) — honored him with the Caliphate, acknowledging his steadfast service to faith and society.

Devotion to Maulana Aqil Hussami (RH)

A devoted admirer of the late Maulana Hameeduddin Hussami Aqil (RH), Maulana Riyaz Ahmed often reflects the wisdom and teachings of his mentor in his speeches. His deep spiritual connection with Maulana Aqil (RH) continues through his strong bond with Maulana Jafar Pasha, the worthy successor of this noble lineage.

Journalistic Endeavors

Guided by his father’s advice, Maulana Riyaz Ahmed stepped into the field of journalism in 2021. Today, he serves as the Chairman of ZED NEWS TV Channel and Editor of Patriotic Views (English & Urdu Editions).

Under his direction, both platforms have emerged as influential voices for truth, justice, and awareness — highlighting social, religious, and national concerns with integrity. His experience spans multiple media networks, establishing him as a respected figure in the journalistic community.

Advocacy and Social Voice

Maulana Riyaz Ahmed is widely known for his bold and constructive stance on socio-political issues affecting the Muslim community. Through his speeches, writings, and media work, he continuously strives to raise awareness, promote education, and defend community rights — embodying the true spirit of “Amr bil Ma’ruf wa Nahi anil Munkar” (enjoining good and forbidding evil).
