Telangana Sets an Example for the Nation in BC Census: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy
Hyderabad – Patriotic Views, Date: 11th September 2025
Telangana State is emerging as a role model for the entire nation by providing 42% reservation for BCs (Backward Classes) in local bodies, said Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, the Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations of Telangana.
On Thursday, at his residence in the Ministers’ Residential Colony, the Minister conducted a review meeting regarding the arrangements for the grand public meeting to be held in Kamareddy on 15th September 2025. The meeting was attended by Panchayat Raj Minister Dasari Anasuya Sethakka, Forest Minister Konda Surekha, Animal Husbandry Minister Vakati Srihari, Labour Minister Vivek Venkataswamy, Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, State Government Advisors Shabbir Ali, and MLA Madan Mohan Rao, among others.
The ministers strongly opined during the meeting that the Congress Party, as the only party striving for the welfare and upliftment of Backward and Weaker Sections, is committed to its promises. Therefore, while the Telangana government is working diligently to provide 42% reservation for BCs in local bodies, the Central Government led by Narendra Modi is obstructing these efforts.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, under the leadership of PCC leader Mahesh Kumar Goud, successfully secured the promise for the BC community enumeration through the Kamareddy platform.
The public meeting scheduled on 15th September in Kamareddy was described as highly prestigious, and the required strategies to conduct the event successfully were discussed in detail during this review meeting.
