Julapalli Mandal, Abbapur Village – Giving top priority to the poorest sections, the state government is sanctioning houses under the prestigious Indiramma Housing Scheme.

As part of this initiative, State Minister for SC, ST, Minority and Disabled Welfare, Adluri Laxman Kumar, along with district officials, participated as the chief guest in a programme where proceedings papers were distributed to 18 beneficiaries sanctioned Indiramma houses in Abbapur village.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government is implementing the scheme with utmost commitment, ensuring that the poorest families are the first to benefit. He assured that houses will be sanctioned in phases to all eligible poor families. He added that the government is providing sand free of cost for house construction and is also taking steps to reduce the prices of cement and steel.

He further instructed that once the basement and subsequent stages of construction are completed, beneficiaries should bring it to the notice of Panchayat Secretaries in villages or Ward Officers in municipalities. These officials will update the construction status online so that bills are released quickly from the government.

The Minister also assured that those who are eligible but have not yet received houses need not worry, as every deserving family will be sanctioned a house under the scheme.
